Home to unparalleled biodiversity
Basking in the sun on a pristine beach and letting its golden rays gently kiss the tip of your nose…it is possible in winter! Living in Mauritius means enjoying the sun 359 days a year. The island offers unique aquatic flora and fauna as well as an exceptional tropical climate.
Its coral reefs are home to an impressive variety of tropical fish. A little further out, dolphins, whales and turtles can be admired during a speedboat or catamaran trip.
Its diverse and endemic marine flora includes abundant algae and mangroves, present in certain parts of the coastline, which are essential for the protection of the coastline and several juvenile marine species.

The garden of Eden…
A tropical climate means pleasant temperatures all year round! Mauritius has two seasons: the austral summer from November to April, with temperatures averaging 28°C and 30°C, and the austral winter, from May to October, with the predominance of trade winds, a cool east to south-east wind, with an average temperature of 22°C.
The coastal regions offer a warm and sunny climate, perfect for lazy days on the beach. The central plateau, perched between 400 and 600 meters above sea level, offers pleasantly cooler temperatures, ideal for hiking and discovering lush nature spots.
